PARKS/PLACES OF INTEREST

Odum has a few places of interest to check out. The city is home to the Martin House on Highway 341; this home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

If you happen to be on the Odum end of Wayne County, take a drive out Beard's Bluff Road and follow the boat ramp signs to the Upper County Landing. This area has a great view of the river - not to mention there's also a picnic area and a nature trail. The landing was renovated recently, and there's plenty of parking and good access to the river. And if you like sitting by the river, you will enjoy Upper County Landing!

Feel free to try Oglethorpe Landing - the locals call this "Pig Farm Landing." It is off of O'Steen Branch Road, which is in turn off of Oglethorpe Road.

Odum is also home to the Happy Acres Campground Resort, featuring 140 campsites, full hook-ups, all pull-throughs, and five rental units. Happy Acres is close to Lake Grace. If you would like more information, call 586-6781.
