CITY OF ODUM - UTILITIES AND SERVICES

ELECTRICITY

Odum is serviced by Georgia Power Company. There are factors that determine whether a customer will have to pay a deposit, and there is a $30 service charge for connection that is included in the user's first bill. To open an account, go in person to the Georgia Power office at 333 West Plum Street in Jesup, or call 1-888-660-5890. You can also visit georgiapower.com

GARBAGE PICK UP

Household garbage is picked up free within the city limits of Odum. All county residents can take trash to the Convenience Center, next to the Wayne County Farmers Market on First Street in Jesup. The cost is $10 a truckload.

WATER

Residents need to fill out an application for water at City Hall. There is a $150 security deposit required for services ($75 for water, $75 for sewer services). For more information, call City Hall at 586-2211.

CABLE TV

Cable TV is supplied by Comcast. Their office is located at 1567 West Cherry Street in Jesup. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. There are a variety of service options with the most popular being the Digital Premier Pack with 260 channels. For more information, you can call 1-888-266-2278, or visit www.comcast.com.
