CITY OF ODUM - UTILITIES AND SERVICES

ELECTRICITY

Odum is serviced by Georgia Power Company. If you're a new customer with a good credit history or an existing customer with a good account record, there is no deposit required for you to receive electric services. There will be a $22 service charge for connection, and that will be included in your first bill. If you would like to open an account, go in person to the Georgia Power office at 333 West Plum Street in Jesup or call 1-888-660-5890.

GARBAGE PICK UP

Household garbage is picked up free within the city limits and for $4.00 per month for the first trash can. You can also take white goods, brown goods (furniture) and tires to the area which is behind the recycling bins next to the State Farmers Market on 1st Street in Jesup.

WATER

Residents need to fill out an application for water at City Hall. There is a $150 security deposit required for services. For more information, call City Hall at 586-2211.

CABLE TV

Cable TV is supplied by Comcast. Their office is at 1567 West Cherry Street in Jesup. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. There are more than 60 channels available, with a variety of options. For more information, you can call 1-888-266-2278.

Call Windstream (formerly Alltel) toll free at 1-800-501-1754 between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

NATURAL GAS
